I think you are all missing the point.
This is not about “being fat”. If you look in the bottom left corner, you’ll see that not the word “fat” but the word “obesity” was used. There’s not necessarily anything wrong with being “fat”: it could be a your natural build. However, it is a fact that obesity is extremely unhealthy: you’re at much greater risk for diabetes, heart diseases, high blood pressure, etcetera. This poster is similar to the “smoking kills” warnings on cigarette packs (I don’t see anyone complain about that!).
Fact of the matter is that obesity, like anorexia, is a dangerously unhealthy condition for your body to be in. Obesity is suicide in many, many cases. I think this is a good poster: it makes its point in a clear, shocking and disturbing way. A wake up call some people need. By crying “omg fatshaming you bullies I hope you die ;;;_;;;”, you’re doing nothing but stopping people from undertaking necessary action to improve their health.
